Security Dealer Perspectives surveys residential system dealers about their market outlook, daily operations and competitive pressures. The study gathers dealer views on sales volumes, revenue models and paths to stronger customer loyalty. Respondents represent dealers from across North America. Participants assess the impact of new entrants and rank their own market strengths.

The survey examines key operational metrics such as month-to-month sales trends and recurring service revenue. It reviews strategies for customer retention, contract renewals, installer training and team scheduling. Dealer satisfaction scores and support response times will help frame monthly performance benchmarks.

Participants evaluate demand for artificial intelligence–powered cameras and advanced video analysis. The questionnaire covers smart home device integration, professional alarm monitoring and environmental sensors for smoke or temperature alerts. The survey measures interest in integrated access control, voice-activated features and remote management tools. Demand for cloud-based upgrades and mobile app hosting was included.

Researchers will collect dealer feedback on retail-branded security kits and tech-platform bundles. They will track adoption of remote management tools and cloud-based upgrades. The study will note tactics used to stand out with personalized service, specialized installation skills and value-add packages. Dealer satisfaction benchmarks for these offerings will provide additional context.

Consolidated responses deliver guidance for equipment manufacturers, service firms and investors monitoring home security trends. The report highlights areas for innovation, potential risks and distribution channels that may drive growth in the residential market. Findings identify market segments, investment outlooks and service niches with high return potential.

SSI Group Editor Dan Ferrisi says, “This partnership with Parks Associates gives a rare look into where our industry stands and where it may head.” He adds that the study will offer stakeholders the insight needed to set future priorities.
