ATLANTA — Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, a fire protection and life safety firm, has acquired Lowitt Alarms & Security Systems. The Hicksville firm adds intrusion detection, video surveillance, and alarm services to Pye-Barker’s Northeast footprint. It will boost offerings across Long Island and expand fire and life safety support.
Executives view this purchase as part of Pye-Barker’s plan to broaden security alarm operations in new regions along the East Coast. The Atlanta-based company now extends its reach with a combined platform for fire protection, life safety and alarm monitoring.
Lowitt Alarms & Security Systems designs and installs intrusion detection, video surveillance, fire detection and fire alarms. Systems link to a 24-hour central monitoring station. Technicians handle installation, inspections, testing and upkeep under safety and code compliance standards. The provider offers remote access and mobile app integration for alerts.
Since 1969, Lowitt Alarms has built its reputation on customer care and reliable protection of homes and businesses in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The firm is widely recognized in local markets for its consistent safety services.
“Over the last half century, our locally operated team has led with customer service to become one of the most trusted fire and life safety brands in Long Island,” says Andrew Lowitt, owner of Lowitt Alarms & Security Systems. “Now with the national backing of Pye-Barker, we have the resources to expand our service network to protect even more lives and property.”
“A genuine passion for protecting others is foundational to the culture at Lowitt Alarms & Security Systems,” says Bart Proctor, CEO of Pye-Barker. “Their longstanding commitment to the Long Island community and focus on customer relationships align perfectly with our values. That drive and local expertise will prove invaluable as we strengthen our integrated fire and life safety services throughout the Northeast.”
Lowitt Alarms technicians will continue serving customers on Long Island and surrounding areas. Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP represented Pye-Barker in the transaction.
