NEW ORLEANS—At Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2025, the annual security trade event, HID is showcasing its full identity and access control lineup in booth #1445. Offerings include mobile and wallet-based credential technology, passwordless authentication solutions and an extensive collection of card printers backed by cloud-managed issuance platforms.
“Security remains foundational, but today’s organizations are equally focused on convenience, usability and adaptability,” says Ramesh Songukrishnasamy, senior vice president and chief technology officer at HID. “As businesses modernize their access control and identity systems, HID provides a seamless bridge to mobile and remote technologies, empowering transformation on the customer’s timeline and budget, with built-in interoperability and trust.”
Attendees exploring booth #1445 will find hands-on demonstrations of HID Mobile Access and FIDO-capable credentials, along with the latest updates to printer hardware, encoder modules and server-side software.
HID Mobile Access
This end-to-end solution supports iOS and Android devices to deliver a familiar app interface, real-time activity logs and enterprise-grade security. The HID Mobile Access App, along with wallet-stored credentials, works across popular smartphone models and wearable devices. When integrated with HID Origo Bridge—a channel-ready tool for rapid, no-code deployment—organizations gain a straightforward path from mobile credentials to full system provisioning. Data from readers and apps flows into management dashboards, giving IT teams near-instant insight into usage patterns and access events.
HID Signo Readers
The Signo family accepts a wide range of credential formats, covering legacy proximity cards, NFC fobs, digital wallets and government credentials such as PIV, CAC and TWIC. The new Signo PIV Mechanicalkeypad model meets U.S. Federal Government SP 800-162 multifactor criteria for restricted zones, preserving a clean, modern design. Leveraging HID Linq, administrators can run remote configuration routines, stage firmware upgrades and review system metrics from anywhere.
FIDO-Based One-Card Access
HID has introduced two single-badge options that merge door entry and phishing-resistant digital sign-on. The Seos FIDO-Enabled Card combines HID’s Seos physical access method with FIDO 2.1 authentication standards in one secure credential. The MIFARE DESFire EV3 FIDO-Enabled Card builds on advanced MIFARE DESFire EV3 smart-to-chip technology, giving users strong passwordless access to business apps and secured areas.
HID FARGO HPD5000e Printer
Engineered for organizations shifting from traditional direct-to-card printers to retransfer systems, the HPD5000e enhances image clarity, card throughput and color reproduction. Its new SmartScreen interface and graphical OLED menu display feature high-definition visuals. Full-cycle security includes AES-256 data encryption, UV-printing support and lockable hatches for added peace of mind. Its compact footprint fits into shared office environments, and a modular ribbon system simplifies supply stocking and maintenance cycles.
HID FARGO Connect
This cloud-native card issuance platform streamlines badge production and activation for on-site personnel, remote hires and branch offices. HID FARGO Connect automates workflows for approving, printing and delivering credentials instantly. In tandem with printers such as the HID FARGO HDP6600 retransfer system, the HPD5000e and the DTC1500 direct-to-card model, the platform reduces manual tasks and bolsters overall system security. Admins access a secure portal that tracks the status of each requested card, complete with audit logs and print commands across multiple facilities.
