LEHI, Utah — Vivint introduced two new professionally installed security and smart home systems designed to bring more accessibility, flexibility and customization to homeowners.

Called HomeProtect and HomeProtect Pro, these scalable solutions combine professional setup, in-house monitoring and an updated mobile app. Vivint said the new app experience is designed to make connected living more intuitive.

HomeProtect offers essential security and energy management features at a price that rivals many DIY setups. Vivint lists equipment costs beginning at $199.99, which includes installation, plus a monitoring fee of $24.99 per month.

The package arrives with a panel-less security hub, long-range keypad, three door and window sensors, a motion sensor and round-the-clock monitoring handled by Vivint staff. Homeowners can expand the system with add-ons such as a smart thermostat, video doorbell or smart lock.

The company positioned HomeProtect for those who want the dependability of a pro installation without the costs often linked to full-service plans. Data from Parks Associates shows almost one third of customers seek professional support after struggling with DIY setups. That feedback highlights the frustration many face when configuring security devices themselves.

“Vivint offers everyone a simple pathway to safer, smarter, and more efficient homes, giving them the confidence and peace of mind to focus on what matters most,” said Dave Porter, managing director of Vivint.

Customers may choose the $199.99 equipment bundle with a 36-month monitoring commitment or select the no-contract option at $349.99 and pay a $199 installation charge. Both options grant full access to Vivint’s monitoring team and the updated app’s features. Existing HomeProtect users can upgrade to HomeProtect Pro at any time and apply their initial purchase toward the cost of the advanced system.

HomeProtect Pro represents a revamped version of Vivint’s full smart home platform. The entry price is $599.99 and installation is free. The lineup includes a touchscreen Smart Hub, four door and window sensors, a motion sensor, 24/7 monitoring and access to Vivint’s complete suite of energy management and automation devices.

Pro customers can choose among three curated packages or arrange a personalized system design consultation.

“Vivint’s HomeProtect Pro continues to offer homeowners a superior security, comfort, and energy management home experience backed by the most intelligent and integrated platform on the market,” said William Stovall, senior vice president of marketing.

Each system is supported by Vivint’s updated mobile app. The company reports it delivers more personalized control and a simpler interface for managing security devices, energy settings and smart home features. It is available on both Android and iOS platforms.

Vivint stresses that every installation and monitoring service is handled by in-house employees, which it says delivers consistency in user experience and contributes to its “day-one peace of mind” message across both HomeProtect and HomeProtect Pro.
